So, I finally decided that in preparation for Uncharted 3 on the PS3, it was time to upgrade my LCD TV. With some help from my brother and a trip to Richer Sounds in Glasgow, I have acquired a new 42" LG LK530T, Full HD 1080p, 100hz. I let Steve have my old Toshiba, which has a two inch long line of stuck pixels in the lower right corner of the screen but is still otherwise perfectly watchable and will replace his ageing CRT behemoth. He seems rather concerned Charlie may somehow pull the CRT down on top himself when he's a little older and mobile. I thought I was the paranoid one?
Anyway, I'm quite pleased with it so far. For some reason I found myself testing it with an old black and white film, which wasn't exactly ideal. To be fair though, Ice Cold in Alex is pretty good as black and white films go. I'll have to get Star Wars on Blu-ray at some point and masturbate furiously as I watch the Death Star trench sequence, perhaps ejaculating at the exact point Han Solo comes to the rescue.
Hmm, that's my Saturday night planned then.
